Fire Play Qualifications I am VERY sensitive to Jack Rinella's point that it is inappropriate to teach edge play without providing hands-on instruction and guidance. Over the years, I have developed a safety-heavy presentation that certainly leaves participants with a sense of the risks as well as the rewards of mastering this form of play. In fact, David Walker and I wrote our book on fire play specifically to be able to provide a permanent reference book for safely playing with fire on the human body. For the calendar years of 2004 and 2005, I taught fire play once a month for seven months as a Mentor within the Austin Mentor.s Program. I've also demonstrated fire play for monthly meetings of Touch of Leather (Killeen, TX); NLA-Austin, and SAADE (School for Advanced American Dominant Education). Fire play is my personal specialty for SM play. |
