Fire Play Presentation Outline Fire play is a high-drama scene in the BD/SM world. It is generally held to be "edge play". Some aspects of fire play are part of the "endorphin release" end of the spectrum, other aspects are part of the .mind fuck. spectrum (referred to as SM or D/s activities, respectively) and can involve an adrenaline rush (from fear). I'll begin by suggesting some ways to get psychological control over the submissive and the scene, then move into five forms of fire play. The first is flash cotton, a spectacular send-off to this form of play. This magician.s product is spread thinly in a pattern over the submissive's body and ignited. The audience won't be able to tell how it was ignited - they'll only see the material erupt in a violent flame and go out before they (or the sub) can even react to it. Next, I'll move to Devil's Fire, the art of touching red-hot needles to your submissive to achieve endorphin release. Devil's Fire is applied to the upper inner-thigh, the pubic mons and around the areoles. Third, I move to fire batons. Here, a path of 70% alcohol is applied to the sub's body with one torch and ignited with the flame burning on the other torch. Note: As the alcohol is so volatile, it is the fumes that are burning, not the alcohol ON the sub's body. I've developed a two-headed torch for this form of play: the unlit end is used to apply a path of alcohol; the lit end then ignites the alcohol on the bottom.s skin. My free hand is used to wipe away the flame. I will also demonstrate the use of a Kevlar "fire glove" for applying flame to the bottom's body. There is a brief transition while I oil the bottom.s body: the first three activities are done with a dry body, the final two with an oiled body. Once oiled, I'll move to cupping: little pads of leather are placed on the sub's body, an alcohol-soaked wad of cotton placed on the pad and lit, a votive candle cup placed over that. I'll demonstrate how to handle the cup to provide a deep-body massage. Finally, I'll come to wax play. Various colors of BDSM wax will be dripped onto the sub. The scene ends with knife-play used to remove the wax. |
