Robert Rubel (Dr. Bob), is an educational sociologist and researcher by training, and has nine books currently in print (four on Master/slave topics, fire play, advanced sex techniques, and three erotic art books).

Recipient of the 2008 Pantheon of Leather's Community Choice Award, Robert (Bob) Rubel has been involved in the BDSM scene for a number of years, throwing himself into the literature of the field as though it were an academic study. He frequently attends BDSM weekend conferences.

Dr. Bob is the editor of Power Exchange Books' Resource Series (the successor to Power Exchange Magazine). This is a series of books covering a wide range of special topics within the larger field of BDSM. He presents, judges, and sells his books widely throughout the year. In 2007 and 2008, he participated in over thirty such events. He lives in a 24/7 Master/slave structure.

Bob is also a natural- light photographer. Click HERE for Dr. Bob Rubel's photo site.

Mindi is the partner of Bob Rubel. In addition to having served as Bob's demo subject and co-presenter for numerous seminars on such topics as fire-play, sexual techniques, M/s relations, and Leather protocols, she is also the subject of Protocols for the Female slave: Handbook of Theory and Practice, and its companion book, Protocol Handbook for the Leather Slave: Theory and Practice. These books began as her personal slave manual. Bob's book Master/slave Relations: Handbook of Theory and Practice documents the planning procedures she and her Master went through to create the stable M/s relationship that they currently enjoy.

An RN/paralegal by training, Mindi provides invaluable help editing the many books that Bob writes. She also edits articles for Power Exchange Magazine, for which she serves as Assistant to the Editor. Mindi, Bob, and Karen Martin (author of How to Capture a Mistress) have for years lived as a Leather Family.
